Food and Clothing: Extra help with food through our food pantry, and vouchers to our thrift store for clothing needs, for those who are low-income or struggling to afford what you need. Food bank and thrift store vouchers are available Tuesdays and Thursdays at the FIRC Office from 12:30 -2:30 p.m. If you are unable to come during those hours, please make an appointment.

Nutrition & Meals Programs
- Monday night dinners are offered each week at 5:30 PM. Cost is $6.00 for Summit County Senior Citizen (SCSC) members; $8.00 for non-members. Call (970) 668-2940 for reservations by 9am on Monday.
- Tuesday/Thursday lunches are offered each week at noon. Cost is $2.50 to $4.00 based on sliding scale. Please call to reserve (970) 668-2940.

Durable Medical Equipment:
Short term loans of medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc.) is available through Timberline Adult Day Services for a nominal donation. Call Candace (970) 668-2952.
Medicare Counseling Private consultation with a trained Medicare counselor is available monthly, no charge. Call (970) 668-2940 to sign up.
Care Navigation Assistance is available for seniors age 55+ who need help navigating the health care system, or guidance with finding community resources and care services. Please call the Senior Center (970) 668-2940.

Food Assistance Monthly assistance with grocery costs for low-income individuals
Old Age Pension The Old Age Pension (OAP) program provides assistance and health care benefits for low-income adults aged 60 or older. Cash payments raise the elder’s income from other sources to $604 per month. Some medical coverage is provided as well.
LEAP energy assistance for low-income households, program operates between November and April. Website: https://peak.state.co.us/selfservice/ The Colorado Peak website allows you to check your eligibility for a variety of state and federal programs, and you can even apply for some of these programs.
