Resources & Referral
One of FIRC’s main goals is to be a resource center for services we cannot provide. If there is a service you require that FIRC does not provide, we will do our best to help you locate assistance elsewhere through referral and advocacy.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- legal assistance
- parenting classes
- counseling/mental health treatment
- finding employment
- worker’s compensation
- unpaid wages
- employment discrimination
General Advocacy
FIRC can help families in need of advocacy to overcome barriers in accessing service or parental concerns and issues.
FIRC also works to empower parents in difficult situations and helps families understand the necessary steps to take in order to overcome problems.
Medical Advocacy
FIRC offers help in negotiating and applying for discounts on medical bills. Before such bills are transferred from the medical provider to a collections agency, there are often opportunities for seeking discounts, affordable payment plans, etc. through the provider.
CHP+ Application Assistance
FIRC offers assistance with CHP+ applications and re-enrollments.
