Summit Thrift & Treasure (STT)
Summit Thrift & Treasure (STT) is Summit County’s longest standing non-profit thrift store, with all proceeds supporting the programs of the FIRC. STT provides the community with an opportunity to volunteer their time, recycle their used goods, receive a tax deductible receipt for their donations, and locate goods for their home and family at a low cost.

STT does this by receiving donations from the community 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday, 10:00am to 2:00pm. Using a mix of staff, volunteers and community service workers, STT screens, sorts and prices all items for re-sale. Depending on the quality and brand of the donated item, STT will sell certain items at premier pricing within the store or on line, via eBay.com and Amazon.com. STT operates as an informal welcome center to the community, providing a safe, welcoming environment for newcomers to the community and those far from family. STT is stocked with resources about community programs and events and is staffed with employees knowledgeable of these resources in order to provide appropriate and needed referrals.

STT offers opportunities to volunteer time to receive in store credit for purchase of goods or food bank, two greatly needed resources for many in Summit County. Lunch is provided to those who volunteer, as is friendly conversation.

STT offers a free ESL class to all levels of students through an arrangement with Colorado Mountain College. STT also collaborates with the General Assistance office to identify, plan and implement other educational classes to the community. STT is always seeking to expand its collaboration with individuals and organizations within the community to enhance the quality of life in our community.
