STT Drop-off Guidelines

Donations accepted Mon-Sat 11am-2pm at the side door.

We have limited space for large items.
Donations are ALWAYS based on available space.
Please call with specific questions.


Items we gladly accept include:
Books (no encyclopedias or textbooks please)
Camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, camp chairs, etc.)
Clothing
Collectibles
Coolers
Computers (peripherals & accessories)
Crafts (baskets, vases, patterns, fabric, etc.)
Housewares (dishes, silverware, cups, cookware, etc.)
Knick-Knacks
Linens
Movies (VHS, DVD recordings)
Music (LPs, cassette tapes, CD’s)
Shoes
Small furniture (Please call first!)
Small, functioning electronics (toasters, microwaves, blenders, lamps, cell phones, vacuums, etc.)
Strollers (no child seats)
Suitcases

Toys

We cannot accept the following:
Anything broken, dirty, torn, stained or otherwise unsellable.
Bulk donations – Please, no garage sale leftovers
Car seats (we are unable to re-sell for liability reasons)
Chemicals or paint
Christmas trees or decorations (Accepted from Oct to Dec ONLY).
Electrical fixtures (wall sconces, chandeliers, ceiling fans, etc.)
Large appliances (ovens, washers, dryers, hood fans, old TVs, etc.)
Large exercise equipment
Large furniture items (call if you are unsure)
Lawnmowers
Mattresses or box springs (per Health Code)
Recyclables (Contact the Summit Recycling Project, 970.668.5703)
Ski & snowboard equipment (see below)
Textbooks encyclopedias, magazines
Tires or construction supplies

Furniture: summitfreecycle is a Yahoo group that allows the community to advertise free items online. Ask us, or contact the Summit Recycling Project for more information. Or Click Here

Bikes, tennis, golf, hockey and other individual sporting goods: STT has an account with Recycle Ski & Sport in Frisco. If you’d the family center to benefit from your donation, please place your items under the “FIRC” account.

Large Appliances: We cannot accept ovens, washers, dryers, hood fans, very old televisions, etc.

Bikes, large toys: We will accept bikes in excellent condition if space is available! No big wheels or large yard toys.

Bulk donations: Our volunteers cannot manage a truckload of items at once; this includes yard sale leftovers…if you couldn’t sell it, we probably can’t either.
