FIRC Bag Project

The FIRC Bag project was started by a group of volunteers in 2008 looking to raise money for FIRC’s emergency assistance fund. Their original goal was to raise $300 by using donated materials to FIRC’s thrift store and sewing them into reusable grocery bags. 10 years later, they have 45 volunteers, known in the community as the Bag Ladies, working on a variety of upcyled products and they have raised over $150,000 for families in Summit County.

100% of Bag Project sales go to help locals facing eviction, disconnection of utilities or the FIRC Food Bank. The FIRC Bag Shop is located in donated space La Riva Mall at 135 main Street in suite 2 above the Bowling Alley in Dillon, Colorado. If you would like to shop at the store or learn more about volunteering, please contact Anita at 970-455-0223 or email
