2020 FIRC Fashion Show Online

2020 FIRC Fashion Show Online

  • FIRC’s Fashion Show is taking the runway into your homes this year as we highlight local models who have recreated their favorite music videos and album covers as a way to honor all of the rockstars in our community. We will be celebrating Summit County through a fun filled online event on Friday, June 26.
  • All money raised will be used to support locals financially affected by the COVID outbreak. These creations will be shown on June 26 along with a live broadcast from our emcees Matt and Kelly Renoux. So how can you watch this fabulous community event? We are asking people to donate $25 to gain access to the private link that will show the event on Zoom. If you can give more, great! If you are struggling to make ends meet and need something fun, you can give less. The more money we raise the more people we can help and we want to make it possible for us all to come together even if it’s online.

If you are struggling to make ends meet and the $25 donation will cause a burden,  please email Shae at shael@summitfirc.org and we will make other arrangements.

Calling All Rockstars - We need your videos and photos for the show - Due May 26

Due to social distancing, we have to change how we dress our models for the Fashion Show. So this year, it’s up to you to get creative. We are putting it out to the community to select a music video they want to recreate. Vogue, Thriller, the list goes on and on You’ll need to submit 60-90 seconds of you dressed up and mirroring the video. A committee will select our favorite 30 videos to play for the event. If you don’t want to make a video, no worries! Select an album cover and dress up and photograph yourself. We’ll be showing the photos during the event as well.

In efforts to not have duplicate videos, here is a list of videos that have already been selected by others. If a video is on this list, please choose something different. Thank you.

  • “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips
  • “Addicted to Love” by Robert Palmer
  • “The Tiger King” by Joe Exotic
  • “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi

Ideas to get the creativity flowing:

  • Get creative and make what you can out of household items. Here are some fun examples. And another. We will be showing the actual video along side yours so the more you can match it the better it will be. Outfits, dance moves, whatever you can do with whatever props you have around your house.
  • For the Album Cover photograph, here is a link to some people who have used this same idea but to recreate art.
  • Favorite Videos from the Fashion Show team
